Traditional portraits with texture

I was looking for nice ways to incorporate interesting texture into my traditional work. Many of these are sketches rather than finished paintings, but some are pretty far along as well, namely the two portrait format dryads. I used all kinds of tools for mark-making and experimented with splatter techniques; there is cling film, sponges, dripping, tipping, and splashing (now it sounds like a beach party; but with that amount of water used it was indeed hard to protect anything around my work surface from also getting splashed). They are acrylic and ink, with some coloured pencils and gel pens used for accents.
