Quetzalcoatl at Sunrise

The largest painting I have done in a while, based on a rejected sketch for a client who wanted a humongous monster curled on the hills. I modelled a base in Blender for lighting and then fought the canvas surface for a while - the sky's gradient being the worst - because I usually paint on smooth surfaces.
40×70cm, acrylic, ink, and coloured pencils on canvas. The original has been sold.
