Love is Forever

Commissioned illustration of two liches.
There is an entire beautiful love story behind this, how he was involuntarily turned into a lich as part of an experiment when they both were young, and her spending her entire natural life acquiring enough magical power to also become one, so they can be together forever. She also decided to go full skeleton.

Client had a lot of specific instructions for this one, but still enough freedom that it was pretty fun to give the illustration details about what kind of stuff they are interested in, and a mass over a life of several centuries. I was allowd to use two sketches of mine as the paintings on the walls. How often do you get to paint a romantic scene with liches in sunlight?
